Meet Phil

Phil’s Besto Pesto began in Phil’s kitchen in Raleigh, North Carolina. After retiring from a 50-year career in Food & Beverage, he set out to create something special for his family—unique pesto dips made with fresh, local ingredients.

What started as a family favorite grew into a tradition shared for over 20 years. Today, his sons continue the legacy in Charleston, South Carolina, where Phil’s Besto Pesto is proudly produced and distributed across the Lowcountry.

Phil always loved pesto but felt it was stuck on pasta. He reimagined it as a versatile dip and spread, turning its rich, addictive flavor into something that could be enjoyed in endless ways.
